Career coach Curt Rosengren recommends that introverts look for careers more focused on the internal process. 
"Envision doing something where a majority of the time is spent doing things in your head," says Rosengren. "An introvert would feel more comfortable and enjoy the solo time."

Queen tours Olympic Park after debut as Bond Girl

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Fresh from her star turn as the latest Bond Girl, Queen Elizabeth II returned to Olympic Park for an encore Saturday, while the usually biting British press gave a resounding review: We are amused.The queen visited with fawning British Olympians in the athletes village and rode to the top of the 377-foot (115-meter) Orbit tower beside the stadium, where on Friday night she officially opened the 2012 Games. Her husband, Prince Philip, and London Mayor Boris Johnson accompanied her. 
Dressed in a royal blue silk dress, crepe coat and matching hat, the queen could be heard remarking at the views of the London skyline and countryside. She wore a brooch given to her in 1948 — the last time London hosted the Olympics and four years before her accession to the throne. 
In describing her role in the opening ceremony, created by director Danny Boyle, Johnson said the queen had told him she was "very, very impressed with the success of her first film appearance, her first dramatic venture. It was very funny and seems to have gone down particularly well with the international audiences." 
And, it seems, with the British media. 
The Guardian called the queen's appearance "one of the highlights of Danny Boyle's tumultuously inventive opening ceremony of the 2012 Games. ... Now, thanks to Boyle, we really have seen everything." 
"I was worried that there was too much self-parody, that the world might be laughing at us," wrote columnist Giles Coren in The Times of London. "But they were laughing with us. They were silently awed." 
The show-stopping moment featured the queen making her acting debut alongside Daniel Craig, who portrayed James Bond in a film beamed into the stadium. 
Boyle's production showed Bond striding into Buckingham Palace to escort his VIP guest to the Olympic ceremony. Many had expected a famous actress to play the role of the queen, and there was an audible gasped as the real-life royal was seen to swivel round in her desk chair and declare: "Good evening, Mr. Bond." 
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the 86-year-old monarch agreed last year to participate. The filming took place at the palace in March and April and featured two of the queen's corgi dogs: Monty and Holly. 
At the end of the film segment, two stuntmen dressed as Bond and the queen parachuted from a helicopter into the stadium, and moments later Elizabeth and Philip emerged in the stands. 
Boyle told NBC television that the queen had been a natural. "You don't have to tell her something twice," he said. "She picks it up straight away, about cameras and angles." 
The sequence has already provided the defining images of the games, according to the Daily Telegraph in Australia, where the queen also reigns. 
"A few hundred years ago director Danny Boyle could have been sent to the Tower for even suggesting such treason," the Sydney newspaper said. "But as if to show how far England and the monarchy have come in that time, Her Majesty not only let Boyle get away with it. She was actually in on the joke." 
The German newspaper Die Welt wrote that "often seen as reserved and unapproachable, the queen changed all that alongside James Bond." 
The queen offered more surprises Saturday as she met about 150 members of the British Olympic team. Spectators took in the scene from balconies draped in Union Jack flags. 
"For her to come through and meet the athletes, and see where we're living, it was amazing," said Rose Anderson, 24, a member of the women's basketball team. 
"She went inside one of the athletes' bedrooms and chatted to us. It was just awesome, especially after last night," she said. "Last night will never be topped. I'll never get an experience like that again, and then this will never be topped either." 
The queen also met athletes from other nations in the dining hall. 
"She's beautiful," said Jess Fox, who competes for Australia in the canoe slalom. "We saw her from afar last night in the stadium, but it was amazing to see her like this."</div>

7 die in head-on collision on I-10 near Phoenix

</div><div class="first"> Seven people have died in a crash on Interstate 10 near Phoenix after a semitrailer truck crossed the highway's median and struck a van head on.</div>Carrick Cook, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, says the victims were all inside the van when the crash happened Sunday about 60 miles west of Phoenix. 
Cook says the driver of the semitrailer truck and his wife were taken to a hospital. 
Cook says the vehicles caught fire after the force of the crash pushed them into a culvert. 
At least seven people were in the van. The identities and hometowns of those who died in the crash weren't immediately released.

Man In Court For Kidnaping His Own Son

The complainant, Maryam Abubakar, of the same address, told the court that Abubakar, her former husband, had asked her to spend 40 days at her parents’ house after putting to bed. She further told the court that Abubakar had not visited or sent any money for her upkeep. “The only thing I received from him was a divorce letter without a reason,” she said. Maryam said that after the divorce, she discovered that Khalifa was missing and when the matter was investigated by the police, he was found in his father’s custody. Counsel to the complainant, Lydia Izan, said that it was the responsibility of the father to take care of his child and urged the court to direct him to refund what is due to the mother. Counsel to the accused, Sani Sanusi, however, argued that the allegation was baseless. “The father has been taking care of his child within his capacity as a tailor and he cannot carry responsibilities beyond his earnings,’’ he said. Sanusi added that the complainant was making demands that were beyond the capacity of her former husband and urged the court to strike out the case as there was no provision in Sharia Law that says “we should feed our children with what we don’t have’’. Sanusi further demanded the sum of N50, 000 compensation for time wasted. The judge, Usman Abubakar, said that the child should be brought to the court alongside three witnesses from both parties before delivering judgment in the case and adjourned the case to August 31.

Two Men In Surulere Magistrates' Court For Stabbing Another Over Girlfriend

Chukwuebuka Ejiofor (28) and Ekene Kanu (30) appeared before a Surulere Magistrates' Court on a two-count charge of conspiracy and assault. Ejiofor and Kanu, who reside at 8, Amusa St., Bale, Orile-Iganmu, and 6, Agbonyin Ave., Surulere, respectively, pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Gabriel Ekundayo, said that the duo conspired and stabbed one John Paul on July 22 at a hotel at Coker, Orile-Iganmu, in a dispute over Paul's girlfriend. Ekundayo said that trouble began when Paul saw the girlfriend, Miss Oluchi Nwachukwu, (18), in the company of the accused where they were drinking beer in the hotel premises. The prosecutor said that Paul demanded that the girlfriend should follow him. "He accosted her to ask of her mission in the hotel but the men said that the lady belonged to them, and that he cannot take her away. "Before Paul could say another word, they broke bottles and stabbed him severally all over his body,'' the prosecutor said. He said that Paul was still receiving treatment in a hospital. The prosecutor said that the offences contravened sections 407 and 171 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011. A Suspect Alleged of Molesting 94 year old Woman

Johannesburg – A man who benefited from President JacobZuma’s special remissions programme appeared in court on Thursday for allegedly molesting a 94-year-old grandmother. Spokesman of South African Police Service (SAPS), Col. Vincent Mdunge, told newsmenin Johannesburg that the suspect is “a habitual criminal’’. He said that the suspect appeared at the New Hanover Magistrate Court on Thursday. “The woman was molested in her KwaSwayimane home in Emabheleni Ward, at 1.00 a.m. on Saturday. “Police have been looking for him for another case,” Mdunge said. Mdunge confirmed that the suspect had been one of the 3,150 granted presidential parole, and that police had been searching for him for his part in an armed robbery case before the molest. KwaZulu-Natal Correctional Services Commissioner, Mnikelwa Nxele, confirmed that the suspect had been released at the start of the presidential remission in June. Nxele said that the alleged molest was regrettable and sad.
