Accolades As Elizade Varsity, Founder Honoured

Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State has bagged the 2015 South-West Media Excellence Award as the most outstanding private university in the region.

The Nomination Coordinator of the South-West Nigeria Media Awards, Dr. Ifeoluwa Osundare said that Elizade University emerged winner of the award after “a thorough and extensive voting exercise conducted among media houses and publics across major cities in the Southwest Nigeria”.

According to him, the University has endeared itself to many Nigerian through it incentives for students. He informed that the award of annual scholarship to brilliant but less privileged students, scholarship for indigenous students, financial aids to all the pioneer students as well as the Student Support Scheme that caters for the daily needs of students with financial problem, given by the Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo, had not gone unnoticed by members of the fourth-estate-of-the-realm and the general public.

In a statement signed by the Senior Coordinator of the Media Award, Pastor Honey Olawale, Elizade University was commended for putting in place modern facilities and international academics that would ensure production of complete graduates.

Pastor Olawale urged the University to maintain the standard that earned it the honour.

Speaking while receiving the Award at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Adegbemile, Akure, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Valentine Aletor expressed appreciation to members of pen profession and the public for recognizing the efforts of the University at bringing modern education to the Country.

Prof. Aletor stated that the Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo has given N18M in financial aids to the pioneer students of the University, N14M in scholarship to brilliant and indigenous students and N1M under the Student Support Scheme for the less privilege students.

He assured that the University will not relent in its efforts to emerge best in Nigerian and one of the best in the world.
