A talented young student has drowned in a canal following a suspected epileptic seizure - just hours after receiving the grades she needed to go to university. Sophie Drozdzik was 'excited' to follow her dream of studying TV production after she collected the distinction grade in her BTEC from Warwickshire College on July 3.
Tragically, just a few hours later, the 18-year-old's body was discovered in a canal in Dickens Heath in Solihull, West Midlands. See her picture after the cut........

It is thought the teenager fell in the canal and drowned after suffering from an epileptic seizure. Now her devastated family have paid tribute to their 'beautiful' and 'talented' daughter whose loss has left a 'huge hole' in their lives.
'Sophie loved life and would want people to remember her smile and laughter and celebrate her life and all that she achieved in such a short space of time,' said her family in a statement.
'She was so excited at the prospect of meeting so many new people [at university] and embarking on this next adventure. May her soul rest in peace
