Zayn Malik Seems to Have Signed a Solo Record Contract

Sit down, Directioners, because you might not like this. Former One Direction member Zayn Malik seems to have gotten a new, solo record contract with RCA, as evidenced by the above photo he tweeted Wednesday.
When he left 1D earlier this year, Zayn said it was because he wanted to be a "normal 22-year-old," but according to this new tweet series, it was because he wanted more of a chance to be himself. "I guess I never explained why I left," he wrote. "It was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am!" He then added the hashtag #RealMusic, which fans immediately saw as a dig at his former bandmates, but he later retweeted someone who theorized that he just meant "real because he has written and recorded it solely to what he likes."
