The death toll in the Nepal earthquake has crossed the 7,000 mark.
The 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck a week ago, with government officials skeptical about the chances of finding survivors.
“It will be a miracle if anyone is found alive,” Home Ministry spokesman Laxmi Dhakal said. “But we have not completely given up yet and are continuing to look.”
The Nepal National Emergency Operation Center has listed the official death count at 7,040 with 14,398 injured.
