An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court has arraigned Wale Arubo (29), Jamiu Illi (33), Ibe Nduckwe (29), SaliamanAmore (30), Mukaila Oseni (22) and Nasiru Ofede (26), for conspiracy, robbery and assault.

The accused and others at large, on Aug. 4, 2012, at about 8.45 pm, allegedly conspired to rob one AbdulYisa of N28,000, Akeem Salako and Jamiu Kolade of a cell-phone worth N4,500.

The defendants were also accused ofhaving in their possession charms, which they wanted to use to hurt their victims.

The police prosecutor, Samson Ekikere, stated that they beat their victims, thereby inflicting injuries on them.

The accused, who were arraigned before Magistrate Akanni, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

Akanni granted them bail in the sumof N50,000 and asked them to present two gainfully employed taxpayers each as sureties.

The case was adjourned till Nov. 14.

Similarly, Saheed Sarafah (20), Taiwo Gafar (35), Wasiu Adebayo (20) and Sunday Chukwuma (20) were arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for conspiracy and robbery.

The accused, on July 27, 2012, at about 10.20 pm, allegedly stole a Nokia cell-phone owned by one Adegboyega Femi and worth N3, 500.

The accused, who were arraigned before Magistrate Taiwo Akanni, pleaded not guilty of the charged levelled against them.

The court granted them bail in the sum of N20, 000 and an employed taxpayer each as sureties.

The case was adjourned till Oct. 29.
