HOW TO BE ROMANTIC AT HOME WITH YOUR PARTNER

How to be romantic with your partner in the comfort of your home.

1 Cook your own gourmet meal. Instead of going out on the town, stay in and cook up a little romance in your own kitchen. Plan a special dinner that the two of you can make together. If you enjoy wine, be sure to have a bottle on hand that coordinates with your meal. Once the dinner is done cooking, dine together by candle light and enjoy your delicious cooking skills.

2 Have a wine tasting together. Pick up a few bottles of some various wines you've been wanting to try. Prepare a cheese tray. Put on some romantic music and spend the evening trying new wines. Be sure to keep a record of your favorites.

3 Set up a home spa. Gather a basket full of massage oils, scented lotions, candles and relaxing music. Spend an evening pretending you are at the spa. Give each other massages and enjoy each other's company.

4 Read to each other. Each of you should find your favorite romantic poetry, short story or novel. Pile the couch full of pillows and a cozy blanket. Cuddle up together and take turns reading to each other.

5 Write for each other. Spend an evening writing love poems for each other. As you each finish a poem, take a minute to read your poetry to each other.

6 Have a romantic movie night. Rent two or three of your favorite movies. Stock up on your favorite junk food and huddle up together in front of the television as you enjoy your favorite romantic flicks.

7 Get toasty by the fire. If you have a fireplace, build a roaring fire and stretch out in front of the fire together with a favorite bottle of wine. If you don't have a fireplace, you can buy a DVD that features a roaring fire, creating the effect that the television is a fireplace. Crank up your heater and you'll have the next best thing to a real fireplace.

8 Make a mixed collection of your favorite romantic songs. Clear the living room furniture out of the way, get dressed up and dance the night away together.
