New X-men Movie To Be Called....
The “X-Men: First Class” sequel won’t
bow until July 2014, but speculating
about it is bound to be easier now that
producer Bryan Singer has shared the
flick’s title with fans. The James McAvoy- and Michael
Fassbender-starrer will be called “X-
Men: Days of Future Past.”
The title
comes from the ‘80s comic of the same
name and is set in a dystopian future
(which should be familiar to “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence, who
plays Mystique in the franchise.) “There will be elements that will be
similar to the original ‘Days of Future
Past,’ but there will also be some
original elements,” Singer told CNN. “I
can’t really say more about it.
I will
only say that it’s a very ambitious project and it definitely widens out the
X-Men universe.” Singer confirmed that Matthew
Vaughn will return to the director’s
chair, but there’s still no word if
anyone from “The Last Stand” will
show up in the film. (According to Entertainment Weekly, the original comic features Kitty Pryde, the
character played by Ellen Page in the
2006 movie.) “It’s at script stage, so it’s coming
along good,” Singer said. “It’s going to
be cool.”
