The âX-Men: First Classâ sequel wonât
bow until July 2014, but speculating
about it is bound to be easier now that
producer Bryan Singer has shared the
flickâs title with fans. The James McAvoy- and Michael
Fassbender-starrer will be called âX-
Men: Days of Future Past.â
The title
comes from the â80s comic of the same
name and is set in a dystopian future
(which should be familiar to âHunger Gamesâ star Jennifer Lawrence, who
plays Mystique in the franchise.) âThere will be elements that will be
similar to the original âDays of Future
Past,â but there will also be some
original elements,â Singer told CNN. âI
canât really say more about it.
I will
only say that itâs a very ambitious project and it definitely widens out the
X-Men universe.â Singer confirmed that Matthew
Vaughn will return to the directorâs
chair, but thereâs still no word if
anyone from âThe Last Standâ will
show up in the film. (According to Entertainment Weekly, the original comic features Kitty Pryde, the
character played by Ellen Page in the
2006 movie.) âItâs at script stage, so itâs coming
along good,â Singer said. âItâs going to
be cool.â
